Christmas Memories

Ali's Piano Recital, Piano Students and Zach and Dallin at their Recital.

Layton park seeing of the Lights and Santa Claus with hot chocolate and cookies.

Christmas 2008 was a great one for us. The highlights of Christmas day included; 1. The kids were so excited to give each other their presents that they had earned the money for and bought themselves. The looks on their faces were priceless. 2. Grandma Hone's face and tears when she opened her present from us. All of us sisters and brothers chipped in and bought her Samantha, an American Girl doll, she has wanted for a long time (since the younger sisters got theirs when they were little). 3. Blueberry Waffles at Grandpa and Grandma's house, a traditional favorite. 4. Mindy now wears her wedding ring again, Bob had the stone she lost replaced, and the mounting fixed. It is nice to be a Married women again. 5. Grandpa and Grandma Astle's Christmas present. The kids are very excited to buy Cherry Hill passes again for the next summer. 6. It was a WHITE Christmas! We love the snow!!
Other favorites of the Season are;
*The Symphony. We took the kids to "Here comes Santa Claus" at Abravanel Hall. It was awesome and will become a new family tradition.
*Mindy accompanied the ward choir and Survived!
*Christmas Lights at Layton Park, and the hayride.
*Christmas piano Recitals.
*Sledding after Christmas.
*Temple trip and family party where we ate, and sang, and portrayed the Christmas Story.
*This year we had a family in our ward do the 12 days of Christmas to us. It was very cleaverly put together and we really enjoyed the anticipation of what would come each night, and if we could catch them.
*We also helped out with a sub for santa at Zach school, and he was picked to help deliver the gifts. It was a great experience for them.
*And last but not least, lots of good Christmas movies and music. What a wonderful time of year.

Wow your a busy family. Wish that we could do half the fun things you guys did. I always worry that I am such a pooper of a mom that my children will look back on their lives and wonder what was wrong with me.
You are a great example of what I always wanted to be.
Love you guys
